WELCOME!
Led by Dr. Ezra Kottler (they/them) the Cal Restoration Ecology Research Lab studies plant responses to man-made environmental stressors, and how we can use knowledge from plant ecology & evolution to develop evidence-based strategies for conservation and habitat restoration, in collaboration with nonprofit, for profit, and governmental conservation partners.
We are housed in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of the Pacific, located in Stockton, CA

Principle Investigator:
Dr. Ezra J. Kottler (they/them)
I am a plant conservation scientist and serve as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at University of the Pacific. I currently teach Ecology (BIOL 175) and Genetics (BIOL 101). In addition to my research on the conservation of native plants responding to climate-related stressors, I also conduct social science research on how to develop inclusive and safe field research experiences for LGBTQ+ students and those from other minoritized groups in STEM.
