I am a plant conservation scientist and serve as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at University of the Pacific. I teach Introduction to Ecology and my research focuses on the trait ecology, genetics & evolutionary responses of wetland plants to climate change, and how we can apply this knowledge to conservation of endangered species and ecological restoration with California native plants. I also conduct social science research on how to develop inclusive and safe field research experiences for LGBTQ+ students and those from other minoritized groups in STEM.
