Dr. Ezra Jay Kottler

[they/them/theirs]
Smith Conservation Fellow
University of Colorado, Boulder

I am a conservation scientist, botany enthusiast, educator, hiker, LGBTQ+ rights advocate, and musician. I currently work as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder funded by the David H. Smith Conservation Fellowship. I study the trait ecology, genetics & evolutionary responses of plants to climate change, working mostly in wetland ecosystems (tidal marshes and vernal pools). I also collaborate on social science research on native seed supply and supports for LGBTQ+ students and workers in STEM fields.
